After the combination of buildup from April showers, May flowers and the beginning of falling leaves, it’s the perfect time to clean out the gutters. This is often a dreaded task, but you can easily tackle this project with a ladder and these four simple steps.
- After placing a ladder at one end of the roof, grab gloves and a towel and climb up to the gutter.
- Scoop all leaves and debris out of the gutter, then move the ladder a few feet and repeat.
- Once everything has been removed, take a hose with sprayer attachment and spray it towards the downspout to clear out any leftover debris.
- Climb down and rake all of the debris into garbage bags for disposal.
