Sometimes space is hard to come by, especially when you have multiple people living under one roof. However, there are a number of ways you can better utilize the room that you do have to handle all of your family’s needs.
Behind Closed Doors
Utilize the space behind entry doors and cabinet doors, as well as the actual doors themselves. These are great places to install hooks and organization racks to hold everything from cleaning supplies to toiletries to accessories.
Backsplash
Not all extra storage has to be hidden, though. Your kitchen backsplash is the perfect place to install a rod for hanging pots, pans and utensil caddies. This also makes these everyday tools easily accessible.
End of the Kitchen Counter
This is another great spot to put shelving or rods for pots and pans, cutting boards, kitchen towels and pot holders. These supplies will be easy to reach when you need them, but they’re also a little hidden from houseguests.
Under the Bed
If you have a raised bed, this opportunity is a no-brainer! Instead of just shoving stuff under there to be out of sight, out of mind, invest in some under-the-bed organizers or bins so that you can store shoes, seasonal clothes and linens for when you need them.
