Curb Appeal on a Budget

Curb Appeal on a Budget

With very little money and a small amount of time, you can tackle some quick projects that will boost your home’s curb appeal.  While maintaining your yard and flower beds may be reoccurring tasks, some of these other projects are annual occurrences. Let’s look at a few ways you can enhance your home.

1) Glam the Front Door

Give your front door a little pizzazz with an easy, low-cost, fresh coat of paint. Choose a color that contrasts between your door and the front of the home.  Replace or add new house numbers to the entrance and finish the refresh with a wreath or potted plant.

2) Manicure the Lawn

Master the grass by mowing regularly. For a professional look, spend some extra time edging your yard. If you are in need of quick beautification, consider spray painting your grass with a non-toxic, environmentally safe paint.

3) Tend Those Beds

Weed those flower beds and maintain the nicely groomed appearance. Weed blocker, mulch, and a variety of seasonal plants will give your landscape a fresh, clean look while minimizing weeds and maintaining moisture control for your plants.

4) Wash Off Dirt

Blast dirt and grime off your house, the driveway and the sidewalks with a simple garden hose. If you need a more powerful spray, consider renting a power washer for the day.

Invest in your home throughout the year and you will not only maintain and prevent costly repairs, but you will present a nice, beautiful curb appeal throughout the seasons.
