“Man, I can’t wait to wash my windows this weekend,” said no one ever. A task that often gets pushed down or completely off of our to-do lists really isn’t as bad as it sounds. Check out the steps below to make the process a much smoother one.
- Pick a time of day when the sun is not shining directly on your windows to avoid your solution from drying too quickly.
- Clean off any dirt, debris or cobwebs with a soft-bristle brush.
- Use a cleaning solution specifically designed for streak-free windows with minimal suds.
- Without using an excessive amount of liquid, use a sponge or wand to apply the solution to your windows.
- Use a size-appropriate squeegee to avoid streaks. Wet the rubber blade first and clean it in between strokes with a lint-free cloth to avoid adding dirt.
- Remove any remaining suds from the edges and corners of your window using a dry cloth.
- Lastly, use a damp cloth to clean the outside frame of your window.
