The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, and early forecasts predict another above-average storm activity year. Last year, the U.S. saw 21 named storms (the seventh consecutive year in a row a named storm formed before June 1), so now is the perfect time to get ready for any severe weather.
Planning and preparing can play a big difference in the safety and recovery of a hurricane. Recovering quickly from such an event requires preparedness, advanced planning, knowing what to do in the event of a storm, and reporting and rebounding from any loss suffered.
We are providing the above checklist to encourage all Holmes Building Materials customers to take the time to prepare their families and homes for hurricanes and related impacts.
